Ray Milhem

Ray has over 25 years of industry experience and major responsibility at leading technology companies. He is an innovative, global executive renowned for designing, managing & launching high-tech products in Routing, Security, Network Management, Data Center designs, Predictive Analytics, Cloud Computing and Big Data (Hadoop-MapR). Applying Agile Development Practices has been critical in delivering on-time products with high quality. Ray was responsible for Global Engineering Operations at Narus/Boeing in the Bay area focusing on Cyber Security, BI, Big Data and Analytics. Prior to his current role, Ray held several Executive & Senior Management roles at DCD inc., Motorola, Nokia, Cisco Systems, Extreme Networks, AFC (Tellabs) & AT&T.

At DCD Ray was the CTO and “acting” VP of Engineering where he led an engineering design service (analogue & digital) with P&L responsibility; managing an engineering team plus consultants and contractors across the US, India, Dubai, and France. At Motorola, Ray was Vice President & General Manager in the Motorola Software Group (MSG) to create & lead the Network Management side of the MSG as well as Network applications. He managed several hundred engineers in 6 Global R&D Centers delivering approx 20 Software products used in Data Centers, Telcos/ISPs and Public Safety customers globally.

During his time at Nokia, Ray was responsible for the Platforms team in the Security & Mobile Connectivity Group under Enterprise Solutions. At Cisco Systems, Ray was responsible for the Network Management Group where he led the Product Management Engineering (PME) Group for all EMS & NMS for the Service Provider side of the business.
